General Assembly Meeting and Capacity Building Training to the members of the East African Borderland Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) Platform

Objective of the GA Meeting

The main objective of the GA meeting is to bring platform members together to:

• Evaluate the platform’s performance;
• Discuss financial management and legal recognition of the platform of how platform;
• Identify key challenges and propose solutions;
• Review and endorse the draft strategic plan;
• Approve the 2026 annual work plan.

Expected Results/Deliverables

By the end of the GA meeting and the capacity building training, the following results are expected to be achieved.

• The platforms’ activities and challenges will be presented and discussed. Based on the discussions, solutions will be proposed, and the platform’s 2026 action plan will be reviewed and endorsed.
• The draft strategic plan will be evaluated, feedback provided, and endorsed.
• A resource mobilization and management guideline will be adopted.
• The platform’s modality of engagement will be adopted.
• The platform’s website content will be reviewed, with feedback incorporated and endorsed.
• Procedures for admitting new members will be adopted.
• Members will be empowered for greater impact following the two-day GA meeting and training.
